men's lifestyle magazine with over 1.2 million pageviews a month is looking for
writers in the areas of self-development, affordable style, personal finance,
career development, gear, etiquette and life skills, and modern relationships.
Our site focuses on
guys in their twenties who are trying to get their feet on the ground. It's an
important and trying time in a guy's life and we feature entertaining and
useful content for the common situations he'll find himself in. Features are 800-1,500 words. We also have shorter magazine-style blips that are only 100-300 words for things such as small product reviews or bringing general attention to something.
We pay on a flat-fee basis, with features usually offering $25-$75 depending on length, work required, and experience. There's also an opportunity for sponsored posts when they come up, these usually offer $100-$250 per piece. The shorter blips are $10 per piece.

to help us build a solid reputation.
I need experienced writers who are detail orientated, deadline driven, and who strive to provide error free articles every time that are educational and easy to read. All articles will need to follow my company's signature style guide (which is really quite simple). Ideally I want people who are prepared to research and write on any topic.
Because we are a young company, the rates aren't great at $7 per 500 word article and $1 per 500 word edit. However, the rates have just increased by $1.50 per 500 word article as promised, and I will continue to increase the rates as my company grows. As a note of warning, some assignments sent out via email are still paid at the old rate due to very large discounts, but I hope to phase this out eventually.

The two main areas you’ll be handling will be:
1. Blogging - BabyList needs an awesome blog. Write original content of interest to pregnant women. Coordinate and create bi-weekly giveaways. Coordinate guest posts.
2. Social media - Handle daily social media tasks. Grow our Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest fanbases.
You will be working as an independent contractor. You can set your own hours, but it will be between 5-10 hours/week from home. This is a paid position based on experience.
