How to keep your work at home job search organized

Oftentimes, those looking for telecommuting work, will apply to several companies at one time to increase their chances of getting hired. It does help your  job search efforts, but it can make it hard to keep track of where and when you applied to what company.
A World of Talent Ready to Work
Search for online work at home projects

It’s important to have some kind of   organizational system to keep track of what you’ve done so far, because:
• It helps keep you from applying to the same job ad three times
• It helps you avoid the mistake of confusing the hiring manager’s names
• It helps you know when you can send a follow-up email to check on the status of your application
What to use to organize your job searching efforts
There are several things you can use to do this. Everybody has their own preference, but here are some of the more popular choices:
Word processing document- This allows a job searcher to place all they information they want about who they apply to. It can be easily printed off the computer and they can file it or carry it around with them.
Spreadsheet- This allows you to document important information concerning each job ad you applied to in an easy to read format. It can also be printed out or it can be saved on your computer for future reference.
Daily planner or calendar- This helps you quickly see what day you applied to what job ad. Brief notes are jotted down about the ad you applied to and the planner or calendar and it can be carried anywhere. You can also use a computer version of the calendar to keep it saved.
Spiral notebook- This can be used by those who prefer not to use a computer or feel that the planners don’t have enough room to jot everything down. A simple notebook, which you write down all the application details in, can be taken anywhere and stored anywhere.
Once you’ve decided what you’re going to use to store all your information in; then you can start keeping track of your job searching efforts.
Again, everybody has their own preference of what details they want to remember, but here are some of the items you should be including in your organizational document:
• The date you applied or sent your resume
• The company you applied to
• The hiring manager that will receive your application, if known
• The job title you applied for (For example: Customer Service agent)
• Important details from correspondence sent to them or received from them (For example: interview dates)
• Any important job ad details, like how long they’re accepting applications (gives you an idea of how long of wait you might have)
As time goes on you can refer back to your list and make any necessary changes and even cross out the ones that you didn’t land or see which ones you could send follow-up emails to.
Having a list handy, that’s easily referenced, makes your searching much easier. Now, you can avoid struggling to remember who you applied to, when you applied and even whether or not you’ve checked back with them.
By avoiding these mistakes, you appear more professional and more organized in a prospective employer’s eyes. Those who can organize something as daunting as a job search, has the ability to organize details relating to the job they’re applying for. Show your prospective employer that you can do it.

How to write a non fiction book in 21 days

Steve Scott the kindle writer guru just released a new kindle book.  If   you a writer for you primary work at home job  why not put your ideas into a kindle book.

How to Write a Nonfiction eBook in 21 Days – That Readers LOVE  Don't have time to complete a book in 7 days or during a weekend? Want a step-by-step writing plan that's REALISTIC? Need a strategy for creating content that readers love? Ever wish you had a best-selling eBook?

Digital publishing has quickly become THE way to make money with your words. The problem? It's not the 'get rich quick' strategy claimed by many gurus. The secret is to write the kind of nonfiction eBooks that build long-term fans and BUYERS.

In the guide "How to Write a Nonfiction eBook in 21 Days," you'll get a day-by-day blueprint that actually works. Unlike other 'systems,' you'll discover a strategy which includes realistic timelines and specific steps.

Written conversationally, yet without the  fluff that many other "expert how to" books contain, Steve Scott  once again does an excellent job of distilling and condensing the exact steps needed.

I really appreciated the idea of separating the "creative output" from the "editing and polishing output" as I'm sure this is a major point of procrastination amongst us perfectionists.

It's a quick read, but don't let that deceive you - the value is in the way Steve shows you how to bolt it all together.

I was impressed and it has me thinking about how to really improve on our book-writing processes.

A no-brainer in my opinion, highly recommended.

How to avoid work at home job scams

Although there are a lot of scams, there are a lot of legitimate work at home opportunities that allow you to either make a full time or part time income from home. However, it isn't always easy to find these types of positions. In fact, to find a legitimate position, you have to avoid work at home scams and only work for legitimate companies. Here are some tips to help you avoid work at home scams:
Take a look at the job offer. If they are telling you that you can make $40,000 in less than a month, it is probably a scam. if not for technical job.  Working at home can take a lot of time and dedication, and it would be very difficult to make that kind of money from home in a month. If the job offer seems too good to be true, it probably is and you should avoid it.
Don't give out any personal information such as social security number  to a company before you find out more about them. Get references, or find someone else who has worked for them before and talk to them. You can also check the BBB to see if they have had any complaints against them before. Make sure that the company is legit before you give out any of your personal information.
Get all the information about the job before you start any kind of work. A reputable employer will give you details about the type of job you will be performing, how much and when you will get paid, and the hours that you will be required to work. Make sure that you are informed before you do any work for them.
Never send any company any money. There should be no upfront costs to start working for them, unless it is for business supplies. There are not any legit companies that cost anything to start working for them. If you see that they charge a fee, kindly walk away because it is not going to be worth your time or money.
Avoid junk email  mail that offers you work from home employment. If you received an email talking about a work at home opportunity, it is best to delete it. There are many websites available that let people know what companies are legit online and which ones are not. Check into these websites before you make your decision.
As you can see, there are a lot of things to consider when looking for a work at home opportunity, but you need to keep yourself safe, and make sure that you do not fall for work at home scams. By following the above mentioned tips, you can find legitimate companies that hire workers and actually pay well. Good luck.

With this in mind, I am looking for long term writers to help us build a solid reputation. I need experienced writers who are detail orientated, deadline driven, and who strive to provide error free articles every time that are educational and easy to read. All articles will need to follow my company's signature style guide (which is really quite simple). Ideally I want people who are prepared to research and write on any topic. Because we are a young company, the rates aren't great at $7 per 500 word article and $1 per 500 word edit. However, the rates have just increased by $1.50 per 500 word article as promised, and I will continue to increase the rates as my company grows. Web pages and press releases are paid at $8.50 per 500 words.  As a note of warning, some assignments sent out via email are still paid at the old rate due to very large discounts, but I hope to phase this out eventually.

Each guide will cover one holiday/event, explain basic gift giving guidelines for that event, and then provide examples from our site based on the gift giver’s relationship to the gift recipient (i.e. “Here are 3 great birthday gifts for a parent…and here are 3 birthday gift ideas for your boyfriend/girlfriend).

Article Writer - Native English Speaker

I am looking for one or two writers to help me in the delivery of quality, accurate and well written articles to my clients - on topics as far ranging as plumbing, apps, online business, cycling, boating, health & fitness.

Many of these clients are online business/SEO/internet marketing consultants, and they need content to grow their own authority, as well as content for their clients.
