Quicktate -work at home transcription

Quicktate is a fun way to make some extra money. Agents can log in whenever they want and receive audio files such as voicemail recordings to transcribe into text. Because no transcription experience or certification is needed, it makes for a great way to earn some experience and possibly move into the world of transcription/dictation. However, like many other online jobs that require little to no experience, the pay is fairly low.

The Quicktate site claims:
Quicktate typists are paid based on the number of words they type, at the rate of 1/4 (one-fourth) US cent per word. So, if you typed 50 words per minute (assuming there were enough jobs to keep you typing for the entire hour), then you would probably earn about $5.00-$7.00 per hour.
However, I type at an average speed of 70 wpm, as a beginner at Quicktate I say I average more like $3-$4 with steady back to back audio files available. When audio files are hit and miss the hourly rate would drop. So, please consider the low rate before applying. Also, this is not dependable as work is not steady.

Quicktate is something enjoyable to do and makes a nice filler between other projects.
