Get Paid to Design & Sell T-Shirts

How many t-shirts you have in your closet right now. Some of them fit just right, while others have an image or quote  that really shows off your personality. But you’re still looking for that perfect tee.

So why don’t you make it yourself? If there’s a shirt that you really want, there’s a good chance others will too.   Do you have a graphic design background and if not its okay.   Do you ever think of funny saying that maybe only your family has?

By syncing your site with a print on demand platform, you can sell your graphic tees from your online store. The service will then print the product and ship it directly to your customers. This method makes it easier to start your business and cuts down on your initial investments.

1. SpreadShop

SpreadShop makes it possible for you to open your very own T-shirt store. Plus there are no fees — the site is completely free for you to use.

There are two ways to earn here — by being a marketplace designer and setting your own prices based on what you think your designs are worth, or you can become a shop owner and earn an commission off each sale of your products.

2. Teespring

Teespring has an easy online designer to create T-shirts. Then, just set your price and a sales goal.

If you collect enough pre-orders, they will manufacture and ship the T-shirt to buyers. One of the best things about this site is that you keep ALL of the profit on T-shirt sale

3. SellMyTees

This is another website that will provide you with an online shop for selling your designs on T-shirts. Note that while they do have a free plan for sellers which lets you open up a small basic shop with 20 designs, they do offer paid (monthly) plans as well. SellMyTees pays monthly via Paypal or check, your choice.

4. Threadless

This is an online T-shirt shop featuring designs from many independent artists around the world. Threadless has an ongoing design challenge that you can submit your own designs to.

Members of the Threadless community are allowed to score the designs submitted, and if yours is one of the best of the best, it will be manufactured and sold. You'll get not only a cash prize for having your design selected, but you will also receive ongoing royalties from sales of your design.

In addition, you can set up your own artist shop on Threadless

5. Bonfire

This site offers a very easy way to design and sell your own premium, custom T-shirts. Bonfire caters not only to individuals, but also to organizations. It's free to get started here with very easy setup and fast payouts.

Payments are made via Paypal, and you get 100 percent of your profit. Bonfire even has a unique feature that enables you to accept tips.

6. TeePublic

Create your own design for a T-shirt, upload it, and it immediately will go up for sale. For 72 hours, the shirt you design will be priced at just $14 but will go up after that so they encourage promoting it heavily during the first three days.

7. Zazzle

You've probably heard of Zazzle — it's very well-known. You can put your artwork not only on T-shirts, but also on coffee mugs, calendars, posters, and more

Zazzle allows you to open your own online store and also set your own royalty rates for your creations.

8. CafePress

This is another site very similar to Zazzle and about as equally popular. With CafePress, you can create designs and put them on T-shirts, posters, coffee mugs, etc. and then sell them.

You can get your own online branded shop through CafePress. They will handle marketing for your shop and then you can earn royalties on all sales.

9. Redbubble

Redbubble prints your artwork onto the T-Shirt and ships it to the customer. Redbubble credits your account with a royalty (a percentage of the sale price) – and once a month Redbubble pays out your royalties to your Paypal or bank account  Redbubble often shows up in google shop searches.

10. Etsy

This is bit different because you are actually fullfilling orders. Print on Demand (Fulfilment) Companies (like Printful) act as a white-label ‘back-end’ to an online store, allowing artists to setup their own store on a custom domain, or to sell through a marketplace like Etsy.

Print on demand companies are not places that customers go to buy t-shirts – they are instead services that artists and sellers can use to fulfil orders to their customers.

Whereas Print on Demand Sites (like Teespring) are self-contained websites where customers will go to buy products. A Print on Demand Site is a much simpler and quicker way for artists to make money from their designs than a Print on Demand company.

.  "I love being a provider with Laundry Care! It has given me the opportunity to work independently, set my own schedule, work from home and spend time with my family! After being a Provider for over a year and a half, I've grown my business with help from Laundry Care's awesome support team, as well as encouragement from the online Provider forum. It's even helped my family get out of debt and work toward buying our own home. Now, we even have extra money to do all the special activities that my children love to do. I couldn't ask for more out of my own business. I love it."

"Laundry Care has been a great experience for me personally. Since becoming a Provider, I have noticed that I'm learning some valuable life lessons in a new way. One is how to think on my feet. Another is how to communicate more effectively with people. I've always been a people person but I've definitely noticed these are two skills I've gotten better at during my time with them!"

Work at Home By Teaching English Online

Online teaching jobs are growing at a crazy rate.  f you’re wondering “What kind of work can I do from home?” – this is an option!

Learning how to teach English online has become extremely popular, making it one of the best online jobs from home for many good reasons – it’s flexible, there’s a high need, and it pays pretty well.

Surprisingly, you don’t need to be a teacher to learn how to teach English online. You also don’t need to speak more than one language – you only need to speak English.

Those things make teaching English online one of the best work from home jobs for almost anyone.

The amount of money you can earn teaching English online will vary, but it’s typically around $14 to $22 per hour.

Because this side hustle is becoming popular, there are several great companies that allow you to teach English online. My top three picks are ones my readers have recommended and ones I have researched:

VIPKID

Qkids

Education First

Here is what you need to know about learning how to teach English online.

How much money can you make by teaching English online?

The amount of money you will earn once you learn how to teach English online will vary, but it’s typically around $14 to $22 per hour.

If you worked this side hustle just six hours per week, you could earn an extra $84-$132 per week, or $336-$528 per month! That’s extra money to put towards your debt snowball and work the Dave Ramsey baby steps!

Online English teaching jobs are a great way to earn more income, because you can do it from home, while you travel (because you just need your laptop and an internet connection!), outside of your regular job, etc.

I know people who teach English online full-time, and others who do it as a way to make extra money. The options are there – you get to choose how you work it!

How much can I earn from a side hustle or an online job?

Can anyone teach English online? What are the requirements?

This is a great question, and probably what you’re wondering first! Now, not anyone can teach English online, but there’s a good chance that you fit the bill.

Most of the online teaching job companies have the following requirements:

Native English speaker.

Experience with children such as: teaching, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, babysitting, a parent, etc.

Internet with a webcam and microphone (which most computers and laptops have).

Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. or Canadian university (it does not have to be in teaching – it can be on any subject).

The other thing you need to know about the kinds of online English teaching jobs I’m talking about is that you do not need to speak the language of the children you are teaching. You are only required to speak English!

TEFL or TESOL Certification and requirements-an easy online course

How flexible is teaching English online?

The companies I’m talking about today are ones that have you teaching English to children in China, and because of the time difference, this side hustle is great for working outside of “normal” work hours.

Some of the methods of teaching English online offer early morning teaching slots or weekend hours.

There really aren’t minimum teaching hours either, and that means learning how to teach English online can pretty much be as flexible as you need it to be. The lessons you will be teaching are typically around 30 minutes each. Here are a few ways you can fit this side hustle into your schedule:

How to get start selling clothing and make money online

When you’re getting out of debt, Dave says to sell so much stuff the kids think they’re next.  But how do you start and actual start making money.

Why declutter? Because it is overwhelming, draining, makes you moody. You can’t have good habits with clutter. It drains your energy. It is is around when there’s a scarcity mindset. If you want change, you have to make room for something new!

You should be thinking abundantly. “There’s always more where that came from.” Hanging onto things is a feeling and a mindset where you don’t think more goodness and prosperity are coming your way.  And you can make some money  to help pay off your debts or put towards your sinking funds and/or rainy day fund.

Since many in our Side Hustle group have been focused on reselling

Here are some resellers  best practices

Offer Free Shipping

No, shipping is never “free”- someone pays for it, meaning lower margins for you or a
higher cost to the customer. But buyers have come to expect it. 28% of customers
will abandon their cart without it. 90% of customers say that free shipping is one of
the biggest factors when shopping online. Try a system that provides customers with
free shipping once their order meets a certain total amount. “Free shipping on all
orders over $50.”
This keeps your customer on the page, and often gets them to spend a little more. “I
don’t want to pay $7.95 for shipping. I’m only $5 away from getting it free. Let me
see if I can get to $50.”

Make Shipping Costs Obvious at Checkout
Customers don’t always mind paying for shipping– but they don’t like surprises. Your
customers are likely to abandon their cart if they can’t see shipping costs until the
end of checkout or if they’re blindsided by an unexpectedly high shipping cost.

Provide Shipping Communication
Customers expect updates; doing so leads to positive ratings. Give them a
confirmation, shipping estimate and tracking number provided by the platform you’re
on, or software you use. Process orders in a timely manner and within the expected
timeframe.

Pack Things Classy

Package things securely, and go above and beyond with tissue paper, a sticker, and
even a thank you business card. Create something cute in Cavna or order from
VistaPrint.  This allows you to invite others to shop your store as well

Respond to Customer Questions Promptly

Reply in a timely fashion, especially about shipping delays/issues. Adhere to return
policies.

July 2020 Side Hustlers Income Reports

I love when side hustles share their income especially when they are getting out of debt!  There is a way to make extra money each money when you are hustling!

Here are Dave Ramsey side hustlers that are working to get out of debt and work on financial peace!  They have shared their journeys in our facebook group!

Amanda T

Even though I knew July was going to be a slower month for income, it was hard to write down these numbers. I worked more hours outside the home, so I had less time to put into my other side gigs. We also took vacations which meant less time to work in general. I decided early in July to put less money towards our debt because I knew we would be incurring lots of back to school expenses. Even though we home school, I typically spend a few hundred dollars buying curriculum, supplies, etc. so I wanted to have the extra money for that.

I paid down $306.11 towards my debt, and even though that's way less than I would have wanted, I still funded my emergency fund , bought all school supplies without using a credit card, and did all vacation stuff without using a credit card.

Donna

I've seen a couple people do this and finally decided to start keeping track. It's very helpful to see that the extra work really does add up when you're doing that extra work.
As far as my extra income....
I think you start seeing some of the stuff in your house differently when you realize that:
1. Everything that's in there that you don't need, you still have to clean.
2. You could make money off it!!
I sell my stuff VERY cheap on Marketplace so I can get rid of it. I'm tired of all the STUFF.
I JUST started my travel business online after a long time dreaming about it. I'm really hoping for more income from that once I learn more about the business but I was pleasantly surprised by any income this early starting.
Senegence is direct sales and the summer months are always a little tougher and when you combine in Covid...🤷‍♀️ But extra is extra, right?
My big extra money came from extra shifts at my job. I love that extra money but it is time away from my kids which is why I eventually hope for more from my travel business.
ANYWAYS! I would encourage anyone who is putting in extra time to earn more to right it down. It is encouraging to see that the time you put in does amount to something! For me personally it's now like a goal to beat for next month!!

July was good as far as side hustle income effort. It was better to Tiffany than too Andrew. Both did really well. But Tiffany did better. Andrew needs to step up the Door Dash game.

Qkids Work at Home Teaching ESL online

Amanda who is very active in our side hustle group has shared her experience with Qkids

So you're thinking about teaching ESL online? This blog will tell you about one of the most popular ESL companies online and answer some of your burning questions about ESL and this company in general.

I've been with Qkids for just about two years, and taught almost 2000 classes, so I can answer pretty much any question you can come up with. Hopefully this blog will help you decide if this job is the right fit for you.   You can sign up for qkids  with  Amanda here

COMMUNICATION -

Let's start with the basics. Qkids is great about keeping employees in the loop. There is a Facebook group where they often post polls, they will send out emails asking for feedback, and even send us surveys in our app so that we can give feedback on upcoming or recent changes. They are typically very reliable at responding, even during class. So if you have an urgent need (a child misbehaving, a muted student, or you need to leave class for some reason), you can communicate easily with them during class. This may seem like something small, but it is a relief when you're in class to know that someone on the other end has your back. Trust me when I say the communication is lacking with many other companies.

CLASS MATERIAL

Don't worry, you are not responsible for creating lesson plans! Qkids has a complete curriculum set for you, from Phonics on up! They even have "starter" lessons which focus on colors, animals, and other beginner words. As you teach a lesson, you are clicking through pages of the curriculum. There are activities on every slide which are either self-explanatory, or you follow the instructions on the sidebar. You can extend a particular activity if you feel like the students need more practice. Qkids has overviews of all the games and activities you will come across so you can see exactly how to teach them to the students!

SCHEDULING

One of the great things about Qkids is that parents do not schedule classes with you. That may sound like a downside to you, but this puts all teachers on an even playing field, whether you've been with the company for two weeks or two years. You need to open up "slots" that you are available to teach. Qkids requires you to open up a minimum of 12 slots per week. They will add classes to your schedule based on your availability. But no worries - if they give you a class and you happen to be busy during that time frame, you can cancel that class five hours or more before class time with no repercussions. If you have to cancel at the last minute, you will lose your bonus for the week (See PAYMENT) but this is a much more lenient cancellation policy than other ESL companies. Also, if you go into a class and no student comes within ten minutes, you can leave the classroom and you will still receive a full payment for that class! Many other ESL companies do not have a no-show policy like this.

PAYMENT

Each 30-minute class will pay you $8 as a base payment. If you teach 15 or more classes in a one-week time frame, you get a $1 bonus per class you successfully taught. Parents of students can also evaluate you at the end of the class, from one to five stars. For every class during the week for which you have four and five star evaluations, you get another $1 bonus. Therefore, the potential is there to earn $10 per 30-minute class.

STANDBYS

Sometimes you will be scheduled for a "standby" class. This means you are the alternate teacher in case the regular teacher misses class for some reason.  For a standby class, you log into the portal three minutes before class and stay until three minutes after class starts. If the standby doesn't "convert" (change into a class), you are free to leave the portal and you will be paid $4 for your time.

REQUIREMENTS

What are the main requirements needed to be hired? At a minimum, you need to be eligible to work in the USA or Canada. You need a bachelors degree (in any area of study), and you need EITHER a teaching license OR a TESOL/TEFL certificate. Those certificates are not difficult to acquire and they will allow you to work on it as you are working on your interviews. You also need a computer with an internal or external webcam, a headset with a microphone, and a stable internet connection (Ethernet preferred). Technically your computer should have a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps and a minimum download speed of 4 Mbps.

EXPECTATIONS WHEN BEING HIRED

First, you will apply online. You'll send them your resume and availability, a screenshot of your internet speed, and a 1-2 minute video of your introduction. In that video, introduce yourself, tell where you live, your educational background, any experience working with kids or teaching, and then read or tell a short children's story.

Within three business days you will hear back from Qkids. If they are not hiring at the moment, they will reach out to you again when they are hiring, or you can wait a few weeks and try again.

Once you've passed that video process, they will ask you to do a demo interview. You will have to study the Qkids lessons beforehand and be able to show in this demo how to control sound, contact tech support during a class, and use the buttons available to teachers during class.

After you've passed this demo interview, you'll schedule a second interview. In this one, you will teach an adult interviewer as if they are a student in class. You'll have access to the class beforehand so you can be familiar with it!

That's it! If you pass the second demo interview, you will begin teaching in a trial period. You will teach 2-5 classes to students and get feedback from parents. Based on their feedback, you will be fully hired by Qkids!

WHAT HOURS WILL I TEACH?

This, again, is somewhat up to you, but the usual hours are 5:50am to 9:00am EST and 8:30pm to 12:20am, seven days a week. These are summer hours and are subject to change. When applying, make sure to ask them what hours are available so you'll know which hours you can teach.

THAT'S IT!

Congratulations, you made it through the entire blog post! If you have any questions I didn't answer in this post, feel free to comment here and I'll answer them as soon as possible.

I've worked for many online ESL companies (including the big well known ones). Qkids is hands down the best.

Here is some additional reviews from Glassdoor

- Have to wake up really early (5am)
- Sometimes its hard to get students involved
- You have to have a space where it is quiet and no one will bother you while you teach, but also a place where you won't wake up others when you teach
- You only get paid at the end of the month

Q. How do people practice the Qkids format in order to be prepared for the interview?

A. This is a great question. Qkids sets up a demo classroom that you can enter before the interview and practice clicking around in it. Plus, they will give you some written instructions with pictures to help you out. This is great - I applied for another company and you weren't allowed to see the classroom until you went in, and you were expected to teach the lesson right away to your interviewer. Needless to say, it was really nervewracking!

Q. Does age matter? Or how long you have been teaching?

A. Absolutely not! There are teachers who have just graduated college with no classroom experience, and there are teachers who are in their 60s and have 30+ years in a classroom. Of course, there are even teachers in their 60s who have never even stepped foot in a classroom! Lots of variety. The main criteria for being hired is - can you effectively keep the attention of the children and keep them excited about class? Can you praise them and encourage them as they are learning the material?

It would be wonderful if you would use my referral code when you're signing up. I do get a referral fee when you get hired, and if you will email me at amanda.talbert@gmail.com when you get hired, I will split that referral fee with you! I'm happy to help you through the interview process as well! Good luck!

Flexible 1099 Work at Home Jobs 2024

You can make your own schedule with these 1099r  independent contractor jobs.   1099 jobs don't take taxes out so you will need to pay your taxes yourself.  I recommend taking 25-30% out, put in a saving account. You also want to contact a tax person as well.

If you got little ones these are great to work around your family's schedule.  Work late nights when you spouse at home to keep an eye on the kids.

I know for me flexibility has been absolutely essential as I raised my family.  And as the kids get older, they sometimes need you even more.

Apply don't get stuck will this work for me or won't it.  I see many folks in our group not even taking the first step. Months later they are asking the same questions I need a work at home job around my schedule, I'm living paycheck to paycheck  and when I asked what have them applied for their reply  nothing.      TAKE ACTION

Best Tips & Tricks for Selling on Facebook Marketplace

When you’re getting out of debt, Dave says to sell so much stuff the kids think they’re next! But how do you make sure you’re getting the most you can for your stuff?

We asked our friends on the side hustle group for their best tips on Facebook Marketplace

Here is a round up some of the ideas

Tara:  I have been selling things since April on Marketplace, porch pick up and payment via PayPal etc and have sold so much with it all being no contact I've actually sold more now then I have in the past.

Madison  A really good description, measurements, good pictures, make sure the lighting is nice & area is cleaned up.

Jessica  Good picture with proper lighting, good description, proper measurements/sizes and fast response time. Make sure the background is muted and not busy

Jason  Do Garage sale pricing. pricing it right

How to start an Amazon FBA reseller business with $100

Amy  Higher ticket items (like electronics) where you'll actually get a couple hundred bucks, up the price you want by $25 because almost everyone will try talk you down so in the end you still get what you want. I've done this multiple times and have scored "higher" a few times when there was no negotiation on their end

Kelly L Good Description and Price. I am selling my side hustle crafts/tumblers and things around the house since we just moved we are updating a lot of our stuff and getting rid of the old

Kelly P  Good photos with quality lighting. Dimensions/measurements. Smoke free or pet free home or smoke/pet home. If something is new in packaging, I’ll usually list it for 50-75% of the original price. If it’s used, usually around 25-50% of the original price. Some people want to try to sell gently used items for full retail value and I’m like...why?
I sell a lot of new in box items that I score from various sources and that pricing system has not let me down yet. I could prove higher and sit on the merchandise but I usually price it to move.

Best Legitimate Paid Online Surveys

Andrea Great photos in a clean space.
I like to find little wood things that don't take too much time to refinish and flip them for big profits.

Andrea  Don’t take pictures with your nasty toes in the bottom of the picture! 🤢 I seriously just scroll right past those

I’be never sold but I often look/ have bought. Nothing more annoying than a very vague listing with no measurements asking a new price for an used item. Or to find out it’s already been sold 🤦‍♀️ If I wanted/could pay full price I wouldn’t be looking on marketplace 🤣 I don’t expect it for free, but why would I spend new price when I could also get a new item too 😆

Group like items together especially clothing. I put 3 sweatshirts together same size etc. super easy to sell and worthwhile meeting up then  Make sure you check out Oshkosh and Carter baby & kids clothing  clearance either online in person. I also will check out kohls as well! Remember to bundle.

I love marketplace. I’ve made $2k in the past two months just listing stuff we don’t want. I just sit it outside and they leave the money wherever I tell them. SO easy. I’ll never have another actual garage sale. 😂
